MuggleTech LLC (“we,” “our,” or “us”) values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how J.A.N.E. (Job Application and Networking Engine) handles your information when you use our Chrome Extension.

Specifically, J.A.N.E. may access or process:

• Website content: Job descriptions and related text from supported job boards (e.g., LinkedIn, Indeed) that you view in your browser.

• User-provided content: Resumes, cover letter drafts, or saved preferences you choose to upload or store. These are stored locally in your browser.

We do not collect or request:

• Personal identifiable information (name, email, ID)

• Health information

• Financial or payment data

• Authentication credentials

• Location, browsing history, or user activity data

2. How We Use Information

We use the information solely to provide J.A.N.E.’s features:

• Summarizing job descriptions

• Analyzing and ranking resumes

• Drafting cover letters

• Generating networking notes

We do not:

• Sell or transfer your data to third parties

• Use data for advertising or marketing

• Use data for unrelated purposes

3. Data Storage and Security

• Local storage: Uploaded resumes and preferences are saved locally in your browser’s storage.

• Temporary processing: For AI-based features, limited text (e.g., job descriptions or resume excerpts) may be securely processed through our backend services. We do not retain this data beyond what is necessary to generate results.

• Security: We take reasonable steps to protect all information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse.

4. Your Control

You are always in control of your data:

• You can delete uploaded resumes and stored preferences from the extension at any time.

• You can uninstall the extension to remove all locally stored data.

5. Legal disclosure:

We will disclose any information we collect, use or receive if required or permitted by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process, and when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.
